The power of faith
Think back as a child when you watched a friend or big brother ride a bicycle. The more fun they had, the more you wanted one too. Finally after much nagging, your parents got you your first bicycle.
With the help of your dad, you learned how to ride it. As you got better you started believing you could ride the bicycle. Until your belief was so strong you knew you could do it any time you wanted to. And you did so without much conscious thought.
The same thing happens with anything that you believe you can do. The power of your faith changes how you perceive your abilities. If you believe you can do it, you will accomplish whatever you decide to do.
The power of faith exceeds the power of knowledge. Like the mystery of love, you know the power of faith exists. This invisible presence works and guides you with only the extraordinary results proving its existence.
We talk of faith being able to move mountains, and it can. However, its power is relative. It all depends on how strongly you believe you can do something. If you truly believe with every fiber of your being that you can do something, your mind will find a way to accomplish it.
Do you remember Terry Fox, the one legged Canadian hero? He ran a marathon a day for weeks in order to raise money for the Cancer Society. Even professional marathon runners cannot run a marathon a day. However, the strength of Terry’s faith enabled him to run in all kinds of weather, from the east coast of Canada almost to Thunder Bay, where cancer finally got the better of him.
Or what about the blind man who climbed Mount Everest.
Or the university student allowed to play the last few minutes of a professional basketball game and scored 27 points.
The power of faith results in miracles. By miracles I mean the everyday accomplishments of people who do things which seem impossible, far surpassing what others expect.
You too can do anything you want, as long as you have faith in yourself. Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. And do not doubt yourself for a second.
Just think, if you had that amount of faith in yourself, and you believed in God too, how much you would achieve.
You would be unstoppable.
